EyePrintPRO – Personalized Lenses for Challenging Corneal Conditions

For some patients, even advanced scleral lenses may not deliver the clarity, comfort, or stability they need. At the Charlotte Contact Lens Institute, we provide EyePrintPRO – a one-of-a-kind lens crafted from an impression of your eye. This breakthrough approach allows patients with highly irregular corneas and complex ocular surface issues to achieve vision they never thought possible.
EyePrintPRO is a completely individualized scleral lens created using a detailed impression of the eye’s surface. The impression is digitally scanned to design a lens that mirrors the exact curves of your sclera and cornea. This ensures unmatched stability, superior comfort, and the ability to manage eye conditions where standard scleral lenses fall short.

You may be a candidate if you have:

  • Severe corneal distortion following surgery or trauma
  • Advanced keratoconus or pellucid marginal degeneration
  • Noticeable asymmetry or elevation changes across the sclera
  • Complex ocular surface disease (e.g., severe dry eye, exposure keratopathy)

Previous difficulties with scleral lenses, including poor fit or limited vision

At our institute, EyePrintPRO impressions are combined with advanced imaging to achieve the best possible outcome:

  • Pentacam AXL Wave – provides corneal tomography, elevation mapping, and higher-order aberration analysis

  • Scleral profilometry – evaluates scleral contour and enhances fit accuracy

  • Wavefront aberrometry – corrects subtle aberrations for sharper vision quality
  • Tailor-made design for superior comfort
  • Consistently clear and stable vision
  • A solution for patients with previously “untreatable” cases

Reduced lens awareness with healthier ocular outcomes

Is EyePrintPRO uncomfortable to wear?
Not at all. Because it’s designed specifically for your eye, most patients report it feels more comfortable than any other lens they’ve tried.
The impression is completed within minutes, but fabrication of the custom lens can take several weeks due to its precision.
Some insurance plans may partially cover the cost. We provide the necessary documentation to help with reimbursement requests.
